GELEEN, NETHERLANDS – June 17, 2026 – Avient Protective Materials continues to protect and enforce its intellectual property (IP) rights related to synthetic HMPE chains, reinforcing its commitment to supporting customers and licensees who rely on its high-performance solutions for demanding applications.
As part of these efforts, during the currently ongoing Breakbulk Europe conference in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, a judicial seizure procedure was carried out at the exhibitor booth of SHANGHAI PORT STAR RIGGING CO., LTD under the authority of the competent judicial authorities.
This action underscores the importance of respecting IP rights. The production, possession, or use of non-licensed and infringing synthetic chains may constitute unlawful behavior under applicable laws, and all parties in the value chain may be held liable. This risk can be reduced by sourcing synthetic chains made with Dyneema® from officially licensed suppliers.
Protecting its IP rights and the brand Dyneema®, the world’s strongest fiber™, is a key priority for Avient Protective Materials. Customers and licensees rely on Dyneema® for its proven performance, unique product grades, and significant investment in ongoing innovation.
Accordingly, Avient Protective Materials takes the protection of its IP rights and any potential infringement very seriously and will continue to enforce them when necessary.
